Uniting Voices is the University of California, Irvine's premier all-gender a cappella group. Founded in 1994, we are the oldest a cappella group at UCI, and we specialize in performances at local venues around Southern California as well as musical collaborations with national organizations, like Uniting Voices Chicago.
This year, we had the opportunity to compete in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), where we placed 1st in our region! Our next step is competing in the ICCA Semifinals, which take place in Salem, Oregon on March 25th. Funding for flights, cars, housing, and food for all 16 of our members will be immensely expensive; Uniting Voices is looking to family, friends, and anyone else for donations to help us make it to Salem. Any amount will help us greatly!
Our ICCA set revolves around themes of self-discovery, personal growth, and acceptance of people as they are - values that we try to instill in our members and in the audiences we perform for. For a majority of our members, this is the first ever ICCA event they have competed in - with your help, they can continue to do what they love and truly experience how impactful their voices and messages are in Salem and beyond!
Any extra funding raised will be allocated to the ICCA Finals in New York in the event that we advance past the Semifinals; otherwise, it will go directly to equipment, recordings, and performances for Uniting Voices in the future.
Please share with everyone you know - any amount helps!
