Help Virginia Get the Surgery She Needs

Hi, everyone. My name is Nina, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend—my therapy dog, recording artist, and the most special soul I’ve ever known—Virginia (or Ginny, as she’s affectionately called). If you’ve had the joy of meeting her, you know she’s not just any dog. She’s a partner in healing, a source of comfort, and, simply put, family.

I adopted Virginia after my dear friend passed away, and from that moment, she became more than just a pet—she became a lifeline. At the time, I already had another beloved poodle, and Ginny stepped in like she had always been meant to be there. They became inseparable, a dynamic duo that filled my home with love and laughter. When I lost my other poodle, it was just the two of us left, navigating grief together, holding each other up when the weight of loss felt unbearable.

Virginia isn’t just my best friend—she has been a best friend to so many others, too. As a certified therapy dog, she has visited schools and hospitals, offering comfort to kids and patients in need. She has an incredible way of knowing exactly who needs her presence most. Her sweet, sassy, and intuitive spirit makes her unforgettable. On top of all that, she’s even been in the studio with me, adding her own special touch to my recordings (yes, she’s a recording artist in her own right!).

Last month, Ginny and I took a leap of faith and moved to California to restart our lives together. It was a fresh start for both of us, a chance to build something new. But now, Virginia is facing a medical challenge that may require surgery, and I want to do everything I can to ensure she gets the care she needs.

Vet bills, diagnostics, and potential surgery costs are overwhelming, and as her caretaker, I won’t be able to work this month while I focus on keeping her comfortable. On top of medical expenses, we’ll also need help covering bills and other supplies to make sure she has everything she needs during her recovery. While I will do everything in my power to take care of her, I’m reaching out for support.
