We are a group of 14 young women from the Lehman Alternative Community School who will be enrolling in the Hammerstone Carpentry School during our annual Spring Trips week in May.
During the 5 days of trips week we will be learning how to build using stick‐framing techniques. We will learn the structural theory of house construction and gain hands‐on experience framing and raising floors, walls, and roofs as we design, frame and sheathe a small structure.
We are SO excited to be not only building a small structure, but building knowledge and skills that will empower us throughout our lives.
