Surgery for Lux

Hi, this is Dana. Almost 2 weeks ago, one of my worst nightmares occurred. I received a call that my sweet baby kitty Lux had been run over by a car. I was told that he laid in the street and when he was approached to receive help he ran away. His head was pouring blood and he was fully panicked and he took off running. Many know when a cat is hurt to relieve their family of grief they will leave home to find a place to pass away by themselves. We searched, thankfully my neighbors helped and after 4 days we fully gave up hope and realized that he likely had passed away. Almost 6 full days later my daughter and I were home after a long day and the garage door popped open. My daughter informed me that it happened that morning as well. Opening French door knobs was Luxes specialty and he would go in and out at his leisure. We’d always know because I would tease him that since he opened he needed to learn to close it. So when she went to close the door she called his name and guess who walked in. LUX!!! He was severely hurt dried blood and smelling foul but he was alive. I went straight to the Viscaya Prado Animal hospital which was open . After being assessd the vet said he had 2 severe breaks in his jaw and his orbital bone was broken. It was touch and go but he was finally able to get stable enough to insert a feeding tube. He needs dental surgery to repair his jaw and be able to eat on his own. I am unable to afford this surgery on my own and I am asking for any help you may be able to give. The surgery is his only chance of being able to eat and drink on his own. My Lux is a special kitty. I feel like I was meant to protect and care for him as I got him at 4-5 weeks and bottle fed him every 2-3 hours for the first several weeks until he could eat on his own. Ironically I am up again every 3-4 hours tube feeding him again to save his life. Please help me save my Lux.
