This is Eddie. He was my 1 year old Bull Terrier who left this world too soon. On April 11th, 2021, Eddie was rushed to two vet Emergency Rooms for vomiting. After an X-ray, the vet discovered a dog bone stuck at the base of his esophagus, and he was then rushed to emergency surgery in Annapolis, MD.
The surgeon proceeded with an esophagostomy, a procedure where they attempted to push the bone through the esophagus to hopefully get rid of the obstruction. They were unable to push the bone through and the only other option was emergency chest surgery to get the bone out of the esophagus. The surgeon was able to get the bone out, but during recovery on Friday, April 16th, Eddie took a turn for the worst, fainting in the early evening. He was in a critical condition.
Later that evening, I received a call from the vet that Eddie had passed away. Along with the grief of losing our dog, my family was left with an $11,314 vet bill and no dog to bring home.
Eddie was well known around the neighborhood for his bubbly personality. He always enjoyed his long walks in the woods every day, and brought joy to anyone he met. Eddie was given the best life possible and so much love from myself, family, neighbors and our friends.
This astronomical cost has become a burden on my family; if you would like to help relieve the cost for the vet bill and help us honor Eddie’s life, we would be forever grateful for your generosity.
Rest in peace, my dear Eddie. I miss you everyday and hope one day I’ll see you again.
Thank you all for your sympathy and compassion.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Terry
