While enjoying the arrival of her first grandchild in early March 2015, Stacy Wilburn received heart wrenching news- she had DCIS Breast Cancer. After consultation with various physicians, Stacy has elected to have a double mastectomy with complete reconstruction in order to enjoy many more years with her grand baby Ainsley, her children Meagan, Cruz, and her husband Brent. This is not the first time Cancer has plagued the Wilburn household. In September 2011, Brent was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Stacy gathered a team together for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Night the Light" walk, and she participates annually since Brent's diagnosis. Stacy's medical bills have started to pour in. Even after her insurance company has paid their portion, Stacy's obligations are quite extensive. She is one of the most kind and loving people I have ever met and she would do anything for anyone. I hope we can all come together and help them out during this time of need and help offset some of the expenses, especially since they are living off of one income.
