WE ARE ALL EQUAL Documentary film and photo's campaign
EN If there is one thing that both disappoints and saddens me it’s that People are still harassed or abused because of their sexual orientation, gender or identity. I wondered what I could raise awareness around these urgent issue that is so close to my heart? How could I stop being a bystander and contribute?
I decided to make a film in which I interviewed countless members of the LGBTQIA-community in order to make this problem visible. I wanted to give it representation so we could understand it’s scope, on both an individual and collective basis.
I started the WE ARE ALL EQUAL campaign in Amsterdam with the intention to expand it nationally at a later stage. Unfortunately this issue is not only local. I want this campaign to be visible on the streets as this is where the violence so often occurs.The campaign will be on the streets as film on squares, billboards and photo's as posters. (
Unfortunately, it is impossible for me to finance this campaign alone, I want to ask you to donate to my fundraiser so that I can realize the WE ARE ALL EQUAL campaign and get it’s urgent message on the streets where it belongs. This a problem that concerns us all - let’s collectively fight to solve it.
The project was initiated by me/Mini Maxwell. Miscal Joseph and I interviewed people together. The camera was and is being operated by Emma van den Berg.
What is mainly important for the continuation of the project by virtue of your financial contribution:
1. Three new parts to be filmed
2. Color correction
3. Sound design
4. Video editing
5. Manufacturing the installation / campaign
6. Camera work
Help me realize this project so that I can propagate positive awareness. Hopefully more tolerance and acceptance will increase.
NL Mensen worden nog steeds lastig gevallen of misbruikt vanwege hun seksuele geaardheid, geslacht of identiteit. Dit stelt me teleur en bedroeft me. Ik ben geen stille omstander, dus wil ik een bijdrage leveren door positief bewustzijn te propageren. Ik heb talloze leden van de LGBTQIA-gemeenschap geïnterviewd om dit probleem zichtbaar te maken. Om dezelfde reden wil ik een campagne starten in Amsterdam, die hopelijk later in heel Nederland zal worden uitgebreid. Omdat geweld vaak op straat plaatsvindt, wil ik dat deze campagne zichtbaar is op straat. Helaas is het voor mij onmogelijk om de campagne zelf te financieren, dus om deze reden - ook omdat het een probleem is dat ons allemaal aangaat - wil ik u om een bijdrage vragen zodat ik de WE ARE ALL EQUAL-campagne op de straten kan realiseren.
Het project is geïnitieerd door mij / Mini Maxwell. Miscal Joseph en ik hebben samen mensen geïnterviewd. Emma van den Berg gaat over de camerabediening.
