Thankfully the majority of Derrick & Vivean’s hospital costs were covered by insurance, although they’re still looking at roughly $6500 in expenses to pay out of pocket. Lord only knows how much more they'll have to spend moving forward, should they have additional medical expenses. Let’s help lighten their load and make life a touch easier, as they adjust to life with a newborn, whose medical journey is not quite over.

It goes without saying that Bennett is nothing short of a miracle. We’ve seen the hand of God work wonders throughout Bennett’s journey into the world, although this is only the beginning! All donations are beyond appreciated.

For those of you who don’t know, Bennett is a recent NICU graduate, whose mother Vivean went into the hospital at 16 weeks upon discovering she had no amniotic fluid. Upon being born at 23 weeks, weighing only 2 lbs and 7 oz, doctors estimated that Bennett’s chances to live were between 1-2%. Clearly God laughed at those odds. Through the power of prayer, support of loved ones, multiple surgeries/procedures, an amazing medical staff and the family’s faith; Bennett is thriving compared to where he was. He still has a long way to go, as does the family adjusting to life with their first child. Please join our communities efforts in helping this family meet their medical needs!
