Celtic House Family Fund
The Celtic House has been a home to so many of us living in and around Arlington, VA for five years. It has witnessed joyous celebrations -- from weddings to births to even deaths. Through it all, the House has been a home.
Whether we stop in for a pint or a bite, we are always greeted with “a hundred thousand welcomes.” As exceptional as the food and drink are, it is the people -- the staff members -- behind the bar, in the kitchen, and on the floor - who make the Celtic House Virginia’s number one Irish pub and restaurant.
The Celtic House stands silently - a victim of Covid 19.
Proprietors Mikie McMahon and Rolando Canales have refused to lay off their staff, and created shifts that allow them to work a few days a week to serve your “call in and take out” needs from 11:30 am until 8 pm. While the House staff is paid an hourly wage, they rely on tips to make a living.
While the House remains closed to seated guests, anyone who has ever set foot in the House and those who have enjoyed a craic filled session with me brother and Lee Carter's partner, Whiskey Dan O’Brien -- please raise a glass to our brothers and sisters with a lovely donation to the Celtic House Family Fund.
We will meet again – under better circumstances. Until then, be happy and well and thanks for caring for our Celtic House family.
