Hi, i am Giulia and I am currently volunteering at British English medium school, a dedicated home and education centre committed to providing education and support to vulnerable children since 2009.

In the school there are 350 kids between 4 and 15 years old. The grand majority of our students are from african tribes, mainly Maasai and Sanjo, which also means that in a culture where ancient traditions endure, our institution offers a way out of child marriage, genital mutilation and a life dedicated to taking care of cattle.

Some of our students are orphans, others come from really impoverished families, others are part of such large families, that their parents don't even know their names.

Our mission goes beyond providing a high-quality education: We strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment where each student can thrive, regardless of their circumstances.

Our journey has been one of growth and continuous improvement.

As an NGO we receive no government assistance and all our funding comes from the support of generous donors and friends of our project.

Currently we have the goal of constructing 3 new classrooms to accommodate our baby, middle and pre-unit classes (our younger students). They are currently having classes in metal buildings that are slowly deteriorating.

The lack of windows makes the rooms extremely cold, it rains inside and it’s overall not a safe environment.

The ground foundation is already done and next step is buying sand and cement to make bricks!
