I'm Qamar, a Black trans autistic Jewish artist and activist. On March 9, 2022, I'll be undergoing a gender affirmation surgery. I'm blessed to have recently won the battle with insurance to cover the surgery itself. But due to housing and income insecurity, death, and divorce during this pandemic, I'm pretty far behind in preparing. It's not lost on me that this month leading up to the surgery is Black History Month. I'm asking my community--family, friends, and fans--to surround me with the type of love that comes from showing you know that history wouldn't be possible without Black trans people. Show your learning and please support me in ensuring my Black trans future.
Utilities - Phone, electricity, internet
Gender affirming clothing
Transportation to and from surgery and post surgery appointments
Mobility aids/appliances to aid in the recovery process
A couch/bed for my caretaker to sleep on
