**UPDATE FEBRUARY 5, 2025**

Hello everyone, Qais and his family have been able to return to their home due to the implementation of the ceasefire. Thank God, everyone is physically okay. However, many areas of their house have been destroyed, and the ground is littered with debris and heavy stone materials due to the roof collapsing. Qais and his family have been working to clear up the rubble, and have temporary nylon covers on some walls as they wait for building materials to enter.

Thank you endlessly to everyone who continues to support this fund through multiple donations or by sharing. Contributions will continue to go towards their food and household items, as well as construction materials for home repair.

Hello, my name is Nicole H. and I live in the United States. I am creating this fund on behalf of Qais Aburaida and his family in Gaza to urgently raise money for daily necessities including food, water, and firewood.

“I am Qais from Gaza. I am 16 years old. I live with my family of 6 people who were displaced from the city of Rafah to the city of Khan Yunis. Now we live in a small tent in the city of Khan Yunis, and the conditions are very difficult. All our dreams were shattered and we have nothing to eat. Hunger has become a specter that follows us everywhere. We cannot provide basic foodstuffs due to poverty and the destruction of our home, but with your donation you can stand with my family and make them happy. Please sisters and brothers, donate to us and stand with us. Thank you.”

After paying for a transportation truck back to Khan Yunis, along with the costs associated with building a new shelter and oven, their family urgently needs our donations to purchase essential items. Funds will also cover household goods such as laundry detergent, and may be used to improve living conditions such as building a more comfortable bathroom.
