Scott, Jen, Riley & Emmett

Hi everyone, as a group we are setting up this fundraiser for a family member who has been having health issues over the past year.

Unfortunately Scott was admitted to the ER April 8th, and everything has gone downhill since... he was sent that day for emergency surgery due to infection throughout his body. The surgery resulted with him getting a ostomy bag. After close family and friends were told 'he is lucky to be alive', we got the heartbreaking news that he has rectal cancer. After 21 days in the hospital he is recovering from 4 surgeries to rid his body of the infection.

Scott and Jen would never ask for the help, but we know that all of these trips away from home will cost them a significant amount of money. They have 2 boys, Emmett and Riley. Emmett is graduating highschool next year and Riley just finished his first year at the University of Lethbridge. While trying to support two boys through school, they are now faced with a ton of medical challenges and out-of-home living expenses. While being away from home they still have to keep up on monthly bills and feed their family.

Scott has not yet got a date for his cancer treatment to start but he is going to update us as soon as possible. They found a tumor and are focsuing on it as of now - due to rapid growth. He is going in for another surgery soon - we are awaiting a date. All of Scotty's treatment and future appointments will take place in Kelowna.

Scott is the first one to step up when others are in trouble or need a hand. He is well known in the community for his acts of kindness and never does things with the ask of repayment.
