Omeath Action Volunteer Group

A few years ago, three volunteers came up with the idea of putting up some Christmas lights and a crib in the village of Omeath for the local children. In the last couple of years the whole idea grew with extra volunteers and huge support from the business people. This was a community effort.  Donations were accepted from the local businesses towards the expenses and outlays regarding Christmas lights, decorations and providing entertainment for the local children.  This included a steam engine pulling Santa in his sleigh.  This project is only possible with donations from local businesses.

We understand the hardship with businesses being closed down during Covid-19. The outlays incurred in previous years average €5,000. This comprises of a) hire hoist and equipment b) insurance c) Christmas lights etc.

We need a little help this year. Please donate what you can to keep this festive season and spirt ongoing in the village of Omeath. From as little as €5, every little bit helps.
