Tragic loss of Husband & Father Mark Hernandez
Donation protected
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering making a donation. It is with broken hearts that this fund was created. On March 15, 2019, our dear friend, Mark Hernandez, was critically injured in an accident involving an 18-wheeler. He sustained multiple injuries, including eleven broken ribs and a severely broken leg. Upon arrival to the hospital, Mark had already coded twice. Over the next couple of days, his doctors performed three surgeries to repair the damage to his leg. Mark was a fighter. Hours after the second surgery, he was up, and walking short distances, with the aid of a walker. He was in pain and he was scared, but he stayed hopeful that he would recover quickly, and he would be home with his family soon. Sadly, the trauma from the accident and the strain of the operations proved to be too much for his heart, and Mark passed away on March 21, 2019. He was 55.
Mark touched so many lives, in so many ways. He was loved by all who knew him, and he inspired and encouraged many with his positive attitude and loving heart. He never met a stranger, and was well known for his outgoing personality and positive attitude. Mark leaves behind a beautiful wife and three adoring children. He was a loving husband to Sharay, and a devoted father to Ava (7), Luke (11), and Peyton, who spent her 15th birthday, March 20th, in a hospital waiting room, praying that God would watch over her father and the surgeons working tirelessly to save his life.
We have created this account in honor of his memory, and to help his wife support herself and their three children as she navigates through this most troubling time of her life. Sharay is a stay-at-home mom and had no income outside of Mark. This is a very hard time for the Hernandez family. They need to grieve without the financial stress associated with the loss of a loved one. We are asking his community of friends and family to help in any way that they can.
If you have the means to contribute in this way, our goal is to help raise enough money to cover the basic cost of living for the next 4-6 months (housing, meals, groceries, school expenses, medical needs, gas, etc.). No matter the amount you are able to contribute, you will be taking that much more of the burden, stress, and worry off Sharay's shoulders. She is an incredibly strong woman and an amazing mother. She will surely overcome these heartbreaking and inconceivable circumstances, but she cannot do it alone. It takes a village...thank you for being her village and for walking alongside her and her children!
Any funds raised will be directly withdrawn by Sharay. No amount is too small, any generosity would be greatly appreciated.
Mark would be blessed to know that his family’s needs are being provided for.
Thank you and may the Lord bless all of you who have loved and continue to help support the needs of Mark’s beautiful family.
