Sgt. Travis Sheffield, current sniper of the 3/278 ACR and former 1st Bn 7th Marine passed away on the morning of June 17, 2023. He survived by his wife, Morgan, and his two sons, Sterling (4) and Solomon (11 mo).

Travis served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 5 years before returning to Texas and starting a family. By 2021, he had joined the Texas National Guard where he served until the day he passed.
