My name is Billie-Jan and I am a single mother of two amazing children, 1 goofy canine, 2 troublesome cats, and a hedgehog. I acquired an autoimmune disease over a year ago ( Myelin Oligodendtrocite Glycoprotein Antibody Disease - rare demyelinating disorder affecting the CNS). I had spent a month in hospital, had gone temporarily blind, and was home on disability for 7 months. I briefly went back to work, but was struggling with prednisone withdrawals, cognitive decline, and extreme fatigue. I was placed back on disability. It has been almost a year of being off work this time around. My savings are gone, my credit is maxed, bills are backing up, and I’ve been living on nuts/granola (leaving good food for my kids). My disability was just extended until the middle of September. I need a little help to get by on. I have animals to feed, kids to feed, bills to pay. One of my children is turning 18 next week and I would very much love if I could get her a present and maybe out for dinner. This kid deserves it!!!- living on canned chili & KD, struggling with anxiety/depression/PTSD, being very patient and understanding with me. I tried to find odd jobs to do for cash, but was unsuccessful.
