Senior Project

Hi, my name is Aidan Kielty and I’m a  student in the graduating class of 2021 at Narragansett High School. For my Senior Project I have committed to training and running a half marathon while raising much needed funds for our local youth sports programs. As a kid who grew up in Narragansett and loved playing  for Narragansett Little League, Narragansett Youth Basketball Association and Narragansett Flag Football, I always enjoyed my time with my teammates and coaches and these memories have helped shape my childhood and who I am today. I couldn't imagine my life without these leagues!!

 
To make these leagues successful for kids in this town, it takes volunteers, money to buy equipment, money to pay for refs and umpires and help those who need financial support.  With the recent pandemic preventing our leagues from having a full season, we have lost out on the opportunity to raise money and keep these leagues where they need to be. So to give back to something that meant so much to me, I am attempting to raise funds to support our local programs. So I will be asking for a contribution via my GoFundMe page where you can either donate a per mile donation or any flat amount which will be  distributed to the leagues mentioned above and any other program that may need financial support.

 
So what am I thinking the money could be used for; 

New equipment
Baseball: Bats, helmets, baseballs, training equipment, umpires
Basketball: Basketballs, gym time, refs
Flag Football: Flags, scoreboards, equipement, refs
Financial aid for those in need / Scholarships
 

 I ask that you help me achieve my goal for the benefit of the future youth and sports of Narragansett.

We are currently waitlisted for the Providence Half Marathon on May 2nd. If we are not able to participate in this event, there is a United States Track and Field distanced course here in Narragansett that has been used for half marathons in the past that we will run.
