We’re thrilled to announce that our talented team of students has been selected via a Wildcard entry to represent Home Hill State High School at the upcoming Opti-MINDS State Challenge in Brisbane!

Opti-MINDS is a prestigious competition that encourages students to innovate through challenges in STEM, Language Literature, and Social Sciences, helping them develop lifelong skills in communication, collaboration, and resilience.

Our team—comprising seven dedicated students from Years 7 to 11—will be working tirelessly during lunch breaks, after school, and even throughout the school holidays to create an outstanding solution to this year’s complex challenge.

Home Hill State High School has a proud history with Opti-MINDS. In both 2023 and 2024, our students competed at the State Finals, earning first place in the Media Communication category. Now, they’re aiming for success again in 2025—but we need your support to get there.

To attend the State Final and cover the costs of materials, registration, transport, and accommodation, we're aiming to raise $10,000 through our GoFundMe campaign and other fundraising events such as a Pie Drive and Car Wash.

Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to giving these bright young minds the opportunity to shine on a state stage.
