Molly's Cancer Fundraiser

Our granddaughter Molly has been valiantly fighting a rare brain tumor, an anaplastic ependymoma, for the past four years. Despite all odds, she has largely been thriving. However, this summer Molly has taken a turn. In July, she developed pneumonia which very nearly took her from us. During her month-long hospital stay, some concerning bloodwork was noted. Additional tests were performed and with incredible sadness we learned that she has developed treatment induced acute myeloid leukemia. The treatment for this will require months in the hospital and will put an incredible financial strain on the Behr - Loder family. Cassy will stay with Molly at Boston Children's Hospital for the duration, and we will need to build a substantial support structure to care for Molly's siblings, Kellan and Alana. There are also many other hidden uncovered costs that occur when a catastrophic illness arises. We’ve created this Go Fund Me page to try and ease some of the strain.
