As many of you know on March 19th Bernadette wrote this status...
"Hi to my family on fb and all my dear friends. I got the results of my test. well, I will tell you the good news first. My lung cancer is gone. Now for the bad my cancer has continued to go another place and that is my liver and my lymph nodes. I will start chemo next Thursday at 11:00 a.m. I have been pulled off work and I needed to . I need to focus on my health to tell you I have neglected myself a lot and its based on the factor its hard to do what I do and work at the... same time. I don't know my doctor is saying am going to be fine. I might be or I may not be. I just want to say this to you all I love you all I know cancer well its my disease and I own it. In oughta for me to succeed to extend my life a little further I need support not negativity. Yes I will lose my hair, yes I will look tired ,yes I will look sick, but what I need from you is your continued love and support and most of all is prayers. I have been through this journey before. I also need you to know if it weren't for what I have been doing I'd be gone almost 3 years ago. I am strong and no matter how it turns out God is my rock and I stand solid with him. He sustains me like no one else and he doesn't want me to die and he didn't give me this disease ,its just life. We all are born with a death sentence and therefore we have to go some way. Remember I told you all I want a big party and I want to celebrate my life with all of you that were in it. I want us to dance to laugh and I want to tell you personally how special you are to me and I want you to tell me what you would if I were dead and you went to my memorial. I thank you all for your prayers and for the support and the love you have shown to me. xoxo"
