On Sunday, Dec. 14, our son (Jordan) was walking back to his car with some buddies after attending the Vikings/Dallas football game in Arlington, TX. Fifty feet from his car, he was struck from behind by an erratically driven Chevy Silverado pickup truck, thrown into the air, and landed on his back on the ground. The driver didn't stop. Jordan was rushed to the hospital's trauma center where it was determined that he has 2 fractures at L2 vertebrae. He flew home on Tuesday and is being cared for by his mom and dad.
Jordan has a long recovery ahead of him! He is self-employed as a delivery driver and removes snow from properties during the winter—both of which he will not be able to do for several months. Meanwhile, the medical bills and rent payments are piling up with no end in sight. As a young 30-year-old, the prospect of accumulating a large amount of debt while not being able to work is overwhelming. Jordan is an extremely hard worker and will be working hard to get stronger. However, so that he can focus on his recovery, we're asking for financial help to soften that concern for him.
Anything you can give would be so appreciated.
