Hi, my name is Jade Cole, and I'm starting a fundraiser for my mom Natalie Boswell and family;

Five years ago while leaving an abusive husband that put her and her children in financial debt, Natalie was involved in a life threatening

vehicle accident. She was life Flighted to Iowa City hospital after miraculously surviving the horrific accident. Natalie had to undergo surgery for a broken T10 & T11 break in her spine. As a result, her spine started to collapse from the weight of the metal because of osteoporosis. She has undergone four more back surgeries that has caused a huge financial burden on her and her children. Let alone the severe pain that she has been left in and endures everyday. Being left in excruciating pain Natalie’s children drove her to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Mayo Clinic saw her MRI’s and planned for surgery only if she was able to tolerate injections to strengthen her bones everyday for 6 months. Natalie is getting ready for the final steps toward her surgery and the costs of motels, gas, food.. just the everyday basics. Not even including the costs of all of the tests that had to be done. Her bone-strengthening injections alone are over $4,000 a month just to receive. The costs of the previous surgeries, the Life Flight which was a little over $71,000 which caused a bankruptcy, and now this surgery up at Mayo Clinic Hospitals in Rochester, MN which we were told now will be two separate surgeries because they are going to put multiple rods in her back as the second surgery the Neurosurgeon’s will be going through her stomach to get to her L4 &L5 which are not only broken but crushed leaving her unable to walk.

The family is pleading for help with the burden of extended time needing to stay at motels, food, gas is outrageous, and having now two immense surgeries that will be done out of the state of Iowa so insurance will only pay so much. Any help is appreciated. We are extremely grateful for your help in getting her and her children through these many difficult times.
