Family and friends I hope this post finds you well. Sharing this part of my life is a step I've hesitated to take, as I've always been someone who prefers to keep my health matters private, usually confiding in my husband & mom alone. So, I understand this might come as a surprise to everyone.
Just over a year ago, I moved away from home to pursue a new job opportunity. The stability it offered prompted me to address my health, as my husband Roman and I had dreams of starting a family in the next few years.
During my initial doctor's appointment, there were concerns that led to more tests. Subsequently, I was called in to discuss the results, and that's when I received the diagnosis of PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). I had heard of it before, but I never thought it would be my reality. The news was made even more challenging to bear by my doctor's revelation that my condition is more severe than most cases.
The news hit me like a tidal wave of emotions. As someone who has always held the dream of becoming a mother close to my heart, this diagnosis was like a dagger through my dreams. It was especially tough seeing my younger siblings start their own families before me, leaving me with the painful question, "Why not me? When will my turn come?" However, please understand that I cherish those babies more than words can express, and their presence in my life brings me so much joy, and I truly believe that God brought them into my world because He knew I needed their light and tiny cuddles.
I've embarked on a journey filled with doctor's appointments, medications, and emotional turbulence. After exploring various treatment options and medications, my doctor recommended surgery but unfortunately my insurance doesn’t cover it so it will be an out-of-pocket expense. so starting a GoFundMe campaign seems like one of the few remaining paths for me to take to. The financial burden of this journey has been overwhelming, and that's why I'm reaching out to you all today.
I want to express my deepest, most profound gratitude to my incredible husband and my loving parents who have stood by my side, unwavering in their support, throughout this challenging year. Their love and strength have carried me through some of the darkest moments.
I'm coming to you today not only to share my story but to ask for your support—both emotionally and financially. I know I'm not alone, and I believe in the incredible power of community. Your support, whether through contributions to my GoFundMe campaign, heartfelt words of encouragement, or simply being there to listen, means the world to me.
This journey is tough, but it's made more bearable because of each and every one of you. Your kindness and generosity will not only help me battle PCOS but also bring me closer to the dream of starting a family with Roman. I can't express how grateful I am to have you all in my life.
