Help desperately needed for the sweetest girl, Lala. A little over a month ago I felt a lump on her belly. Tests were inconclusive. Only a month later and there are more lumps all along her mammary glands. The next step is surgery to remove both mammary chains which is extremely expensive but the only way to help her right now. I’m desperate for help to give this beautiful girl a chance at a long, healthy life.

I am an independent rescuer in East Harlem, NYC. I’ve been helping homeless and feral cats for close to 10 years. Lala is actually the first cat I ever rescued off the street. I carried her home in my sweatshirt. Soon after, I found she had pyometra and needed immediate lifesaving surgery. Since then, Lala has become an integral part of our family, a best friend and the sweetest companion, even two (human) kids and many rescue cats later.

Lala is the most intuitive, empathetic and emotional cat. She senses when someone isn’t feeling well and will stay by their side. She is always the greeter and will be the first to say hello when you walk through the door. She is a world champion snuggler even with the little loud humans.
