Hello, my name is Bev, and in April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon, something far outside my comfort zone as an inexperienced runner. I’m doing it for my wonderful dad, Alan, who is living with Alzheimer’s, a cruel and heartbreaking illness that’s slowly taking him away from us.

This run is for him, and for every family touched by dementia. I’m aiming to raise £3,000 for Alzheimer's Research UK, in the hope that one day, no one will have to watch a loved one fade away like this.

I’ve just started my training, and it's going to be a long, tough road. But every step, every ache, every mile, I’ll be thinking of my dad. Your support means more than I can say.
