Ruth, 93, Needs A Home due to Sheriff's Sale

Donation protected
This is my sweet mom, Ruth.  She is almost 93 years old and is the kindest person I've ever met.  Most people agree. When I got cancer, she refinanced her house to help pay for my medical bills while helping me raise my 10 year old son.  When that money proved to not be enough for treatment, she took out even more.  Eventually, she had taken out more money than the house was worth after the real estate collapse.  Then the Bank started asking to be repaid (understandably), but I was not making enough money to repay them what they wanted each month. We fell behind and the rest is history.  The bank foreclosed and had the Sheriff's Sale last Monday. We are devastated and trying to figure out where we can go live now.  I promised my dad before he died that I would never abandon her and I won't, particularly after what she sacrificed for me, my recovery, and my son, her only  grandchild.  She is a wonderful person that has given to everyone in need she's ever come across and sends monthly checks to the Food Bank and St, Jude's, even though she really can't afford it.  She says there are always people worse off than her.  But now, she needs help and I'm asking you to give anything you can.  She'd never ask so I have to be her voice.   She has Congestive Heart Failure and broke her hip recently.  We just received a letter today that says we must vacate our home by March 27th.  The door will be padlocked regardless of whether we've been able to get our belongings out or not.  Your support means everything to us, to her.  She is a proud woman who was raised during The Depression, lost her father very young to heart ailments, and was raised to keep her personal hardships to herself and never ask for help.  While I, myself, am uncomfortable with asking for help, too, I see this as the last option we have. I'm so very grateful to all of you who donate, even the smallest amount.  Thank you so very much.
