Meet Liz, 

Liz is a mother, a grandmother, a wife, a daughter, and a sister. 


On the night of February 17th, my mother suffered a seizure, during which my two siblings (who live with her) heard her screaming for help. They found my mother shaking while her eyes were looking at the ceiling. Right away, my 13-year-old brother called 911 and the ambulance came and was able to take my mother to the ER at the nearest Hospital, where an MRI and CT scan were performed where they found a mass located in the right side of her brain which affected her entire left side of her body. 

On February 20th, she was transferred to the nearest Hospital for Neuroscience where they performed a Brain Biopsy. Ever since she was hospitalized, she was really afraid due to repeated convulsions and seizures and was in extreme pain after the biopsy. On March 11th, my mother had an appointment with the Oncologist, during which she was diagnosed with an "unknown", malignant, Cancer with Molecular features of Glioblastoma, who is grade 4. 

Following this diagnostic, the Oncologist explained that she will need intense radiation sessions every day for four weeks, due to the nature and severity of the tumor in her brain. Based on how she does after the four weeks, she will be under Chemotherapy. 

At this moment, we are kindly asking for any donations, no matter how big or small which will be used to fix her mobile home to live comfortably. We would appreciate it even if any donations are in the form of construction materials that are needed to fix her home. Your donation will also help my mother pay hospital bills, treatments, transportation, proper equipment, and groceries.

 My mother has been staying very positive as well as her family, and she is trying her hardest to fight this Cancer. But this is not a fight she can win on her own, and any little bit of help can help her in that fight.

Conozcan a Liz,

Liz es madre, abuela, esposa, hija y hermana.

La noche del 17 de Febrero, mi madre sufrió una convulsión, durante la cual mis dos hermanos (que viven con ella) la escucharon gritar pidiendo ayuda. Encontraron a mi mami temblando mientras sus ojos miraban al techo. De inmediato, mi hermano de 13 años llamó al 911 y llegó la ambulancia y pudo llevar a mi madre a la sala de emergencies al Hospital mas cercano, donde le realizaron una resonancia magnética y una tomografía computarizada donde encontraron una masa ubicada en el lado derecho de su cerebro que afectó todo su lado izquierdo de su cuerpo.

El 20 de Febrero fue trasladada al Hospital especialisado en Neurociencia donde le realizaron una Biopsia Cerebral. Desde que fue hospitalizada, tuvo mucho miedo debido a las repetidas convulsiones y ataques y sufre dolor extremo después de la biopsia. El 11 de Marzo, mi mami tuvo una cita con el Oncólogo, durante la cual le diagnosticaron un cáncer "desconocido", maligno, con características moleculares de glioblastoma, que es de Grado 4.

Tras este diagnóstico, el Oncólogo explicó que necesitará sesiones de radiación intensa todos los días durante cuatro semanas, debido a la naturaleza y gravedad del tumor en su cerebro. Según cómo le vaya después de las cuatro semanas, estará bajo quimioterapia.

En este momento, estamos pidiendo amablemente cualquier donación, sin importar cuán grande o pequeña sea, que se utilizará para arreglar su casa móvil para que viva cómodamente. Le agradeceríamos incluso si las donaciones son en forma de materiales de construcción que se necesitan para arreglar su casa. Su donación también ayudará a mi madre a pagar las facturas del hospital, los tratamientos, el transporte, el equipo adecuado y los alimentos.

Mi mama se ha mantenido muy positiva al igual que su familia, y está haciendo todo lo posible para luchar contra este cáncer. Pero esta no es una pelea que pueda ganar por sí misma, y ​​cualquier pequeña ayuda puede ayudarla en esa pelea.
