Hi, my name is Lily and I’m a Transition Year student at Belmayne ETSS. Next February, I’ll have the incredible opportunity to travel to Cape Town, South Africa with my principal, Ashling Kenevey, and other TY students to volunteer with the Irish charity Mellon Educate.

During our time there, we’ll be taking part in community projects — including helping to improve children’s literacy skills and learning how we can make a real difference through education. As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
