This is my friend Joe. In August of 2018, he started experiencing vision problems. Concerned for his health he visited an ophthalmologist and was told he had level 3 papilledema; which means his optic nerves were swollen due to high brain pressure. This continual optic nerves swelling would’ve lead to loss of vision. However, this wasn’t the only health concern Joe faced. He started experiencing numbness in his thighs and was having urinary problems- after going to the E.R. and getting multiple MRI’s, they found a tumor in his lower spinal cord. He was then diagnosed with Ependymoma. He had a five hour long surgery to try and take out the tumor, however, there were two sections of it. One was taken out safely but the other was too risky to operate on, so it was left there. He received therapy and continues to get checkups piling up his medical costs. He’s a junior in college with his whole life ahead of him. Being diagnosed with cancer at any age is burdensome enough, plus having to figure out how to pay for your medical bills at a such young age. With ongoing medical expenses for treatments we’re asking for any donation you could give to help. We understand these are uncertain times right now and if cash isn’t available we’ll appreciate thoughts and prayers. Thank you for taking the time to read and donate.
