Torres Family Fire
Donation protected
On December 11th, as they were on a video call with family, the Torres family house started on fire. It originated in the attic and the entire second floor of their home is destroyed. The main floor is wet and dirty with water damage. Thanks to the St. Charles Fire Department, the fire was quickly extinguished but they are displaced and all three kids' bedrooms and belongings are gone. Thankfully, the family Reuben, Tammy, Alex, Erin, and Brianne, puppy Flash, and kittycats Bella and Mabel are all safe.
For over 20 years, Reuben has been the St. Charles High School art teacher. Tammy has been a Nurse at Mayo in Rochester for 13 years. Alex (20) is a Coe College student home for the year. Erin (16) is a student at St. Charles High School. Brianne (9) is a student at St. Charles Elementary School.
I'm Reuben's sister, Angela. I'm asking for all of their family, friends, community members, loved ones, and kind-hearted strangers to consider helping, as you are able, to help address some immediate needs. The girls lost all of their clothing, school supplies, toys, books, and other belongings. Alex lost all of his gaming equipment (Xbox), games, tv, electronics, and other belongings. Their beds, bedding, and furniture are gone. Everything is uncertain right now.
If you can, please donate to help the family meet some immediate needs and replace all that has been lost. All funds will be given directly to the family. If you can't donate monetarily, please send kind words and prayers their way. Thank you. ~Angela
