I am writing this for our friend Michael Steidley. In early February of 2017, without any advance indication , our friend and coworker, Michael was admitted to the Hospital with Acute Pancreatitis. Acute Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas that can become life threatening. Mike was at the Davis Hospital for a few days and then sent home to recover, but he did not get better. He was in severe pain and unable to eat. On March 4th Mike was taken back to the Hospital. He was so gravely ill that they sent him by ambulance to a specialist at the University of Utah Hospital. Mike was there for several weeks before he was stable enough to put a drain in his stomach to help with his infection. Unfortunately, the U of U Hospital is not in his PPO Network, and Mike and his fmaily are facing a mountain of medical bills. He doesn't have short-term disability, and his wife has been unable to work, and has been with him day and night and now is his caregiver at home. Mike is facing a long road to gain his health back. It is unknown when he will be able to return to work. it's pretty scary how things can change so fast in someone's life. Mike and his family need help so they don't lose everything they have during this health crisis. If we come together we could help this sweet family out. We hope to raise $20000.00 to help pay for unforseen health cost's and bills that are piling up.
