My very good friend Kelli has had a rough couple of years. She went through a messy divorce that has made her life better but also a ton harder. She is raising 3 boys on her own. The youngest has special needs and has had some health problems that landed him the ICU a few times. She works full time but with the cost of living increases over the last few years more than half of her income goes to rent and utilities for a tiny 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment. She has been doing her best to make ends meet (though they rarely do) on her own with little to no help. This week, right before the holidays her truck broke down. It is beyond repair and wouldn't be worth the money to fix anyway. Getting to work via public transportation takes her well over an hour if she is alone but she has children in three different schools so it isn't feasible for her to get the kids to school and then herself to work on the bus. She is one of the kindest, most generous people I know and I can't just let everything she has worked so hard for be taken away because of a car! And in would hate to see her be forced to move out of state because she can't afford to stay in Colorado. Please find it in your heart to help get a vehicle for my dear friend. I'm asking this amount to cover the cost of a reliable car plus registration and insurance for a couple months. Any amount helps and would be greatly appreciated.
