Team Jen
You have breast cancer. These four words changed the life of Jennifer Jordan four months ago. For a single mom working as a BHP in a Lewiston, ME elementary school, this was a tall hill to climb...emotionally and financially.
Jen needed a double mastectomy, which she underwent last week. She will need a second surgery early next year as well. One of Jen's biggest financial challenges is the hefty $8,000 deductible she will have to pay twice, one for each calendar year of her surgeries. She also has not been able to go into her school to work, as her immune system is impacted by her cancer and COVID-19 is too big of a threat.
Almost one year to the date before her diagnosis, Jen was photographed getting a high-five while running the Dempsey Challenge. She was raising funds under her late Grandmother's "Cancer's Poopie" tagline in her memory, as she has done for years.
We have come full circle and would now like to raise funds for her to help her keep the focus on her health and off her mounting bills. Any amount will be deeply appreciated and we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts. #cancerspoopie #lightituppink
