Spreading the power of character-drive leadership
We at Strive understand character-driven leadership as the process of connecting to your own genuine power and internal core values, your character, in order to lead others.
Through a rigorous curriculum and uniquely engaging delivery of content, Strive develops the traits and skills that allow leaders to respect, understand, and connect with people who are very different from themselves. In schools, community centers, and athletic organizations, participants in Strive programming learn and practice skills like grit, self-awareness, empathy, teamwork, self-efficacy and gratitude.
The character-driven leaders engaged in our programs include coaches, athletes, after-school counselors, or sixth graders. They leave a Strive program ready to set the stage for their organizations, communities, and teams to become character-driven leaders too. Strive is committed to creating this type of change on every level of an organization or team. Your support allows us to continue to fulfill our vision.
Why Strive
2021 has been a year of looking within, reflecting on who we are and what we do, in order to continue to lead in the spaces we work. As the world presented us with new obstacles and opportunities we understood that our work would be continuously adapting. Through programming and partnerships in athletics, education and community spaces we responded to the specific needs in each of these unique spaces.
This year alone, with your support, we worked directly with 1,836 program participants in over 40 organizations and teams. 90% of this work was subsidized or fully free of charge. Our impact is deeper and broader than ever before, and your support ensures we can continue to reach more people, regardless of their financial means.
