Hello,

My name is Joey Nelson & the aloof hooman behind me is Darth Kittius. Neither financial stability nor agency over my life have been a reality for us since August of 2019. Though I have worked since this time–taking whatever I could–that work has barely scratched at the door in the form of rent, not to mention pay the bills & feed myself & the hooman.

For the last four years, we have relied on the warmth of wonderful friends and family in order to rest our bones, but, as for many, the pandemic made things worse. Currently we live fairly remote with family–of which I am thankful–however, it is remote enough, that what work is available, is offset by the very low wages and petrol cost of the commute.

Recently though, after years of searching high & low. I have finally got some good traction with a small company in Mendocino, just a few hundred miles away. Problem is, they don't provide relocation assistance–quite understandable–and its onsite work. The job pays enough($20.57 /hr) to afford a studio or even one bedroom plus bills in the area, but chiefly, it is an opportunity for us to regain agency over our lives again.

So, here I am attempting to GoFund rent & living expenses for 2 to 3 months in order to establish ourselves out there and take the job. So, this is pretty much baring all. There are obviously way, "WAY" more people in need than me out there. Hopefully though I can separate a couple hundred people from $40 USD each or more. Our goal( $8,000 ) is quite modest.

Rough 3 month cost breakdown: $1,500 deposit, $1,500 rent, $150 utilities, $400 food a month- $7,650. The job pays $20.57 /hr to start.
