VETERAN IN DISTRESS
This is a “CALL-OUT” to all able bodied veterans, veteran family members and compassionate people all across the globe to help me assist an elderly combat Vietnam Veteran whom is experiencing extreme difficulties keeping food on his table, gas and electric bills paid and transportation cost to and from doctor’s appointments. He is in dire straits of being evicted from his home since the State of Maryland’s Eviction Moratorium has been lifted.
This veteran lost his job of twenty (20) plus years back in 2019 as a Baltimore City Sanitation Collector due to a sudden diagnosis of two (2) types of cancers that has riddled his body leaving a hole in his colon which has now metastasized to his liver. He also has underlying medical conditions that COVID-19 could attack.
Mr. Roderick Taylor fondly known to us as “Mr. Bud” was born and raised in Baltimore, Md, where he enlisted into the Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era and was exposed to Agent Orange which has now come back to haunt him in the form of this primary colon cancer secondary liver cancer.
As we all have now learned through this COVID-19 pandemic that many government agencies are not helping us, and the willing ones are are so back-logged that we have to help ourselves. My saying goes like this “sometimes the HELP NEEDS HELP”!
Please assist me in helping Mr. Bud to keep a roof over his head and allow him a piece of mind that may help heal him with the power of his Creator God.
Thank you all in advance,
Jamal W. Childs/Veteran’s Advocate
