My name is Dana Hamby, and I am asking for your help for a good kid who is down on his luck. I have known Levi since 2018 when our son saw a lonely kid and pulled him into his friend group. They became fast friends and Levi pretty much became a part of our family. Levi is a student at University of North Georgia at the Athens Campus and works full-time. He was driving a vehicle that was missing a headlight and side mirror due to an encounter with a white-tail deer. To complicate matters, there were mechanical issues that he could not afford to have repaired. The result is he is now without a vehicle. Levi is a good kid, but he has had some bad luck – that never seems to deter him from pushing forward. He smiles his way through things and rarely complains when things do not seem to fall into place. I would like to raise enough money to afford to purchase a reliable vehicle for him to continue with school and work. My goal is to raise $6,000. I feel there are a lot of kids these days who just want everything handed to them and that is just NOT the case with Levi. I have seen him do without becuase he had to help others. I want to encourage him to keep reaching for those goals he set, but in order to achieve them, he needs our help. I hope if anyone has ever helped you that you will extend a helping hand to Levi. One final note - He has no idea I am doing this for him. He would not want to impose on anyone.
