Few embody that more than Widowmaker.

Widowmaker doesn’t step into the ring for fame or easy money — he steps in because this is who he is. Every match, every bump, every mile traveled is done out of love for the craft and for the fans who believe in him.

Unfortunately, that passion came at a cost.

During a recent match, Widowmaker suffered a serious injury that has taken him out of action and placed him on the long road to recovery. Like many independent professional wrestlers, Widowmaker does not have the luxury of employer-provided health insurance or guaranteed income while sidelined. When the matches stop, so does the pay — but the medical bills don’t.
