Help getting my brother home and beyond!

Everyday is a gift and your life can change in the blink of an eye. In 2020, my big brother Ted was having trouble with his vision. After diagnostic imaging, it was discovered that he had a cavernoma (abnormal blood vessel) in his brain stem that was actively bleeding. It was initially decided that the risk of surgery was too significant, and it was recommended he “watch and wait” with the hope his condition would stabilize. With some therapy and the aid of a handy patch (which had the added bonus of looking like a well-mannered pirate), his double vision improved and he was to able to buy a little time. In Late June, after his 3rd episode, it was discovered that the cavernoma was not only bleeding again but creating stress on several of his cranial nerves. He now had significant vision impairment, partial facial paralysis and balance loss. Surgery could no longer wait. By the grace of God, his case was received and accepted by a specialist at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix. On June 14th the amazing doctor and his team were able to remove the entire cavernoma, though his recovery will be long and strenuous.
For the near future, Ted will need hands-on assistance from family and friends. He is one of the most faithful and determined people I know and is committed to a full recovery but will require a community of support until he is able to achieve that goal. The family will need both physical and financial support, and any donation will be greatly appreciated. The immediate need outside of trying to offset the rising medical bills is to secure medical travel back home so he can truly begin his recovery.
