Where do I begin? My name is Kristin & I wanted to start this for my sister, a young mom of 2 to raise some money for her & her long journey ahead..

Ashley had a biopsy done on June 21st. Our hearts were shattered when she sent us the text on June 26th that her biopsy came back & it was cancer… She was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer, HER2+, & estrogen receptive positive. A few weeks later on July 12th she had a lumpectomy. They removed the lump along with 2 lymph nodes(lymph nodes came back negative, finally some good news!) On Friday July 14th she was admitted back due to bleeding & they re-opened her incision & had a hematoma drained.

She will have to do 12 weeks of chemo which are 4-5 hours long, 2-3 weeks of radiation driving to Brainerd Monday through Friday & she will continue to do HER2+ infusion injections every 3 months for up to a year.

Ashley is much like myself, stubborn & would NEVER ask for help! So she may want to kill me but if I can relieve any stress in anyway possible I’m going to do it. Just the gas to Brainerd (96 miles round trip) is going to add up quickly.
