The Hansma's Story:
One of our great friends in the Cutting Horse industry, Julie Hansma, suffered a brain injury October of 2018 as a result from a sudden horse-riding accident. Following an extensive stay in various hospitals and rehab centers and the excellent care from her doctors and nurses she has now stabilized.
Julie is a fighter and has made slow but steady progress and now is able to live in the comfort of her home, this however, requires a great deal of in-home care. The majority of Julie’s medical expenses up until this point have been covered by their health insurance, but now that she is home this family needs our help to provide her with the care she needs.
All proceeds of this gofundme will go directly towards Julie’s home care. (Once the gofundme ends all donations will be deposited into the Horsemen for Christ’s Caring Cutters account and then sent directly via check to the Hansma’s to pay for her home health services.) Julie’s condition requires 24/7 home-care, which her family is not medically trained to assist with. All donations will bring great relief and joy to the Hansma family and will ensure Julie will continue to have the best care possible. Julie has always been one of the first to come to the aid of others, now it is our turn to go to her aid and help our Hansma’s at home.
