A couple of years ago Matt was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre

Syndrome and while several weeks in the hospital helped him

return home to his community, It has left lingering effects such as debilitating neuropathy

in his legs. Rehab, Drug therapy and extensive physical therapy have not slowed the progression

and Matt has become almost immobile due to his condition. Matt has spent most of his

adult life working in field positions where he was responsible for such things as helping

families after natural disasters and localized trauma such as house fires. In his current state, he

is unable to find gainful employment that would accommodate his declining physical mobility, because of this, Matt has filed for long-term disability status. Which is not a quick or easy

process. The state system can take up to 6 months to approve or deny a disability and

during the determination process. Even if Matt were to find a gainful job opportunity.

he would not be accepted as he waits for the determination. We receive a favorable determination and Matt can land a part-time call center or work from home as a supplemental income to disability and he can start rebuilding his life. As you can imagine, being unemployed and disabled has created a financial emergency for Matt as household, medical and other bills

continue to add up during the determination process. we've set up this GoFundMe in hopes that

Matt's friends, family and acquaintances could find it in their hearts to help relieve some of the

stress and anxiety of Matt's unfortunate situation. God Bless You All!!
