Help Laura & Kayson's Fight

Donation protected
February 7th 2025, our friend and loving Paramedic, Laura, was diagnosed with an aggressive giant cell tumor and secondary aneurysmal bone cyst. Due to the severity of the tumor, Laura will be admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital for the foreseeable future. Not only is Laura fighting. She, her husband Damar, and their 2 year old daughter Omyra, welcomed a little baby boy on February 13th, 2025. Kayson was born at 31 weeks and will need extra care and attention in the NICU for several weeks.

Her time there will include chemotherapy, bone regeneration through expensive medication, surgery to remove masses and bone grafts to repair what has been obliterated by the tumor.

Laura's treatment and recovery will be extensive and long. Assisted devices for her mobility will be required while Laura learns to walk again. As well as home renovations to accommodate her aids so she can return home to be with her family.

Financial strain has already started to impact their family. With commutes to and from the city, the time off work to support Laura, and the additional care required for Omyra, and baby Kayson. Our goal is to help ease the financial burden that a diagnosis like this causes. They have a long road ahead and their fight is far from over but with your help we can get them through this. Thank you for your support.
