The figure skating community is a very tight-knit and supportive group. After hearing about the fatal accident on Highway 9 that took place on August 20th that injured Alanna Liu and claimed the lives of her parents, the skating community is in mourning. This GoFundMe page has been set up to provide individuals with an avenue to support Alanna with the difficult journey ahead of her.
Alanna is truly a special skater who brightens the lives of everyone around her on and off the ice.
We have known Alanna since she started skating and she is truly a beautiful soul. She's talented, kind, generous, gifted, intelligent, and has a wonderful sense of humour. We feel privileged to have watched her grow into an incredible young lady.
