I just want to say thank you all so much for all the support; from the Bogota Embassy and Advanced Air Ambulance that helped to get my brother home safe and sound on a medical flight! He still has a long road ahead of him and still has the financial burden of paying back the Embassy for its services.
Hi, my name is Rhonda Mansfield-Myles. My brother John Mansfield just celebrated his 61st B-Day and flew overseas to South America. The day he landed he suffered a stroke and had to have emergency surgery to release blood from his skull due to a stroke he suffered. My brother is a 34-year Air Force Vet and retired as Chief Master Sergeant. We are trying to raise funds to get him back to the States but it seems the military is unable to assist with a medical flight since he is inactive.
He's been in the hospital since January 20th and just got out of ICU, but still has a trachea in his throat and a feeding tube on side of his stomach to which a commercial flight he wouldn't be unable to take unless it's a medical plane with a paramedic and nurse to accompany him.
Any financial support to help our family get him home would be truly helpful and appreciated.
