Support Jason's Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jenny, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Hannah and her boyfriend, Jason.

Hannah and I have been friends since college, and over the years, we’ve only grown closer. This past year, I’ve also come to know Jason—and I can genuinely say he is one of the kindest, most selfless, and gentle souls I’ve ever had the honor of knowing. I truly mean that.

Even in the midst of his battle with Stage 4 gastric cancer, Jason continues to put others before himself. His quiet strength, unwavering generosity, and even his sense of humor through this unimaginable trial have deeply moved me—and made me all the more resolute to not just pray, but act.

Jason’s Story
In December 2024, Jason was diagnosed with Stage 4 Signet Ring Cell Gastric Adenocarcinoma—an extremely aggressive and rare form of stomach cancer. His symptoms began nearly nine months earlier, with mild chest pain that quickly turned into severe fatigue, nausea, and abdominal pain any time he tried to eat.

By the time doctors discovered the cancer, it had already spread to his peritoneum, lymph nodes, stomach lining, lungs, and other organs, which made his prognosis incredibly serious. Since then, Jason has undergone chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and an intense surgery in March 2025. While he is not currently a candidate for stomach removal due to the cancer’s spread, he remains in active consultation with specialists and is exploring additional treatment options, including clinical trials.

Physically, the toll has been overwhelming. Jason often goes eleven days without being able to eat, and his body has atrophied significantly—to the point that he can no longer walk due to the loss of major muscle groups in his thighs and legs. Doctors are still trying to determine whether this is the result of malnourishment, nerve damage, or treatment side effects. He is currently undergoing physical therapy to regain strength and mobility.

Why We’re Raising Funds
While Jason is employed and his company has been gracious during this time, the out-of-pocket costs are substantial. Treatments like clinical trials, frequent travel to specialty hospitals, and certain medications are not fully covered by insurance.

So far, Jason and his loved ones have spent a significant portion of their savings on visits to:
  • City of Hope in Los Angeles
  • Memorial Sloan Kettering and
  • Cornell Hospital in New York City

These trips, along with co-pays, specialized consultations, and experimental therapies, add up quickly.

We’ve been told by specialists that for Stage 4 patients, outcomes improve most when they actively pursue clinical trials and stay informed about emerging treatments. But that means proactive travel, consultations, and often self-advocacy—all of which are time-consuming and financially draining.

Encouragingly, recent scans show some improvement—Jason’s tumor burden has decreased, and the cancer has not grown. The goal now is to reduce the tumors enough so that he may qualify for stomach removal surgery and, hopefully, enter remission.

How You Can Help
All donations will go directly toward Jason’s cancer-related expenses:
  • Clinical trial participation
  • Travel and lodging for medical care
  • Medications and co-pays
  • Physical therapy
  • And, if needed, end-of-life planning

Jason has asked me to emphasize that he doesn’t want anyone to give what they can’t afford—but for those who are able, your support truly makes a difference.

Faith & Gratitude
Through it all, Jason continues to express profound gratitude—for the medical teams God has placed in his path, for the love of his partner and friends, and for each new day. He has leaned on his faith throughout this journey, and he would be so grateful for your prayers, not just for healing but for peace, strength, and hope.

Thank you for reading, sharing, donating, and lifting Jason up in prayer. We’re believing for more time, more healing, and more miracles.

With love,
Jenny
