Give This Sweet Dog a Second Chance

Just one day ago, I was driving in Dallas, TX when I saw a poor dog hobbling around an abandoned building. As I got closer, I realized just how heartbreaking her situation was — she had been sleeping in a trash pit surrounded by needles, eating whatever she could find just to survive.

I knew I couldn’t leave her there. I took her in, determined to get her the care she desperately needed and eventually find her a loving forever home.

Shortly after, I noticed she hadn’t peed or pooped at all. Concerned, I rushed her to the emergency vet. X-rays revealed a broken pelvis and bones stuck in her rectum, which were preventing her from going to the bathroom. She is now undergoing surgery to save her life — but the costs are steep.

So far, her vet bills are around $3,600, and they’ve told me that this is just the start to a long journey. She’ll need to see another specialist to ensure she receives a thorough checkup and the best possible care.
