Casey Smith Ward was diagnosed with cancer today. She is a mother of 2 little girls 9 week old Layton and 2  1/2  year old Reagan.  Plus she is my baby girl. 
She was a paramedic for Dorchester County and Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Her passion for her job is unbelievable. 
She has not felt well for over a year but the doctors kept telling her it was her gall bladder. They were not going to take the gall bladder out until 6 weeks after her baby was born. On her last visit to the ER they noticed a tumor the size of a grapefruit on her liver. Today they said the cancer is not coming from her liver. The doctors are being very proactive, she will have a battery of test on Thursday. We are hoping to learn more. More than anything I am asking for prayers. I have never asked for money so this is not comfortable for me. But realistically doctors, loss of work, medicine and travel add up. We all know Hospital bills are awful. If you feel called to help her and her family. Please do. Her husband Larry is a paramedic for Charleston County. They are a very giving family.
