Hi, my name is Crystal...I’m a proud Oneida woman, a mother, a recovery coach and community healthcare worker who has dedicated my life to helping others heal and find their strength.

Recently, my world was turned upside down. During a medical visit, doctors found an unexpected mass on my kidney. What started as something “accidental” quickly became something very real, very serious, and very scary. After meeting with urology, I was told it is renal cell cancer of the kidney.

Right now, I am still healing from a recent skin removal surgery, and my body needs time to recover before I can undergo another major surgery to remove the cancer and part of my kidney. Physically and emotionally, this has been overwhelming, and the waiting in between has been one of the hardest parts.

I am blessed to have four wonderful children, along with supportive parents, family, and friends who have been standing by me through all of this.

This has impacted not only my health, but my ability to work, provide, and stay steady for my family. I’ve always been the one showing up for others—now I’m asking for help during one of the hardest moments of my life.

I am not giving up. I am fighting—with the strength of my ancestors, my culture, and my children behind me. But I cannot do this alone.

Funds raised will go toward medical expenses, recovery support, transportation, and basic living needs while I heal and prepare for the next surgery.
